As the specific contribution and implementation of the spirit of President Hu Jintao\'s speech in China-Africa Cooperation Forum, the 250,000 ton Cement Grinding Station of Ethiopian Eastern Cement Co., Ltd. , which is undertaken by Nanjing branch, MCC19, put into production on May 13, 2010. This is another China-Africa friendship and cooperation historical testimony.
1500T / D dry process cement production line and 250,000 ton cement grinding station of the Ethiopian Eastern Cement Co., Ltd. locate in the Eastern Industrial Zone (EIZ) of Ethiopian capital of Addis Ababa suburb and started construction on October 1, 2009. The total investment is Nine Million U.S. dollars, and covers an area of 30,000 square meters. During the seven and half months of construction, the Ethiopia Project Department of the Nanjing branch overcame shortage of materials, untimely supply of materials, lack of construction equipment, low percentage of mechanization pouring, different customs and other difficulties of life, tried their best to guarantee the needs of employees and construction. Finally, they had completed two set of 800 ton cement silos, one set of 4,500 tons cement store , 25 million tons of cement grinding machine base, steel structure and related auxiliary facilities - one of the standard grinding station in the African continent.
The grinding station is the first investment project in EIZ of Jiangsu Qiyuan Corporation in Ethiopia. Standard designing, advanced environmental protection facilities, perfect function, fast construction of this project has made it as a model to promote the EIZ Infrastructure construction. The station will produce 425 # ordinary Portland cement 250,000 t/y, to meet the booming demand of cement market in Ethiopia.
